We recently had a wonderful time at MarsCon , where we were invited to give a presentation about Japanese culture. It was a joy to meet the attendees. Our session was held in a conference room with a projector, which allowed us to show photos of kimono , highlighting their beautiful patterns, styles, and cultural significance. A Start to Our Kimono Club
Our first Kimono Club gathering was a wonderful introduction to an ongoing and welcoming space for learning about kimono. On January 3rd, our staff and volunteers gathered for Shinnenkai , a traditional Japanese New Year’s celebration, to welcome the year together in the best way possible, through food, laughter, and community. We started the day by making mochi , a meaningful New Year tradition that symbolizes good fortune, strength, and togetherness.
