Our first Kimono Club gathering was a wonderful introduction to an ongoing and welcoming space for learning about kimono. The one-hour session focused on the basic items needed for kimono dressing and gave participants a chance to see and talk about them in person.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this first meeting! It was great to connect, share questions, and begin building a foundation together. For those who couldn’t attend, we’ve shared the handouts from the gathering by email so you can still review the basic items we discussed. If you like a copy, please email to info@cha-amijcc.org
Next Kimono Club Gathering
We’re happy to announce our next Kimono Club meeting:
📅 Saturday, February 14⏰ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
At the next gathering:
Shizuka will create a list of kimono items which you may want to purchase, based on what participants need in order to dress kimono properly.
We will also briefly introduce yukata, which we did not have time to cover during our first meeting.
Everyone Is Welcome
Kimono Club is open to all levels, from complete beginners to those with some experience. Each gathering will build gradually, making it easy to join at any point.
We look forward to continuing this journey together and hope to see you at the next meeting!
