    Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching. Sashiko thread is a tightly twisted heavy-weight cotton. We will teach technique and explain importance of knowing what Sashiko is as well as what Boro means. This Class / Gathering is free. Bring what you have, or we can provide material.     Beginning Conversational Japanese is for people who are interested in Japanese language and culture. This session is designed for people who never had formal Japanese classes or lessons. This is a great way to get foot in the door, new language and culture! Handouts are provided.   • Ai-zome Indigo Dyeing Workshop

    Discover the Beauty of Japanese Indigo Dyeing! Join us for a hands-on two-session workshop where you'll learn the traditional Japanese art of Shibori using Ai-zome (indigo dyeing). This beginner-friendly class will introduce you to two simple techniques to create stunning blue and white patterns on cotton bandanas.
