About the event

Join us for a hands-on two-session workshop where you'll learn the traditional Japanese art of Shibori using Ai-zome (indigo dyeing).

This beginner-friendly class will introduce you to two simple techniques to create stunning blue and white patterns on cotton bandanas.


Workshop Details:

Week 1

Time: 1:00 pm ~ 3:00 pm

What You’ll Learn:

Session 1: Clamp Resist Techniques – Experiment with folding and clamping methods (Itajime Shibori) to create bold geometric patterns.

Session 2: Stitching Techniques – Explore stitched resist patterns (Nuishibori) to make delicate, intricate designs.


What to Bring:

🔹 Wear casual clothing that can get messy or bring an apron.

This workshop is a wonderful way to experience Japanese textile traditions in a fun, relaxed setting. No prior experience is needed—just come ready to dip, dye, and discover the magic of indigo!
